Dale Cupido - May 02, 2002: Freddy and Dale report back - Adrenaline Rush

Tuesday April 30 was a lavish festival of adrenalin. The BBC World live session went off really well, as well as the live session with our South African sports stars. The joint message from the sports personalities and Mark strikes deep into our emotions for the drive and pursuit of a united Africa and South Africa, and the progress of our beautiful nation.

We all enjoy a bit of sustenance during these busy times. The crew in Moscow had a wonderful curry for lunch, and Freddy has reported that his cheese and crackers were not too shabby.

A crisis was averted on Tuesday night , when the second Ham radio session was salvaged by patching the signal via Australia. A hearty salute to the ARISS personnel and the respective NASA and RASA teams who pulled the whole thing together after what seemed a certain disappointment for the learners waiting to talk to Mark.

We spoke to Mark in our daily planning session, and it is amazing to see the way that our actions and modus operandi as a team has reached a pleasant operational fluidity. We are all enjoying watching him up there, and we are reaping the fruits of our labours with great satisfaction.
