Boots and All
These heavy protective boots are part of the Soyuz survival kit, used to protect the lighter but warmer heat suits. In general, the Soyuz contains equipment that should ensure the crew survival in any conditions from 56 degrees North to 56 degrees South, including a landing in Siberia, Sahara or the Amazon jungle. In practice, we all agree it would be better to land in Kazakhstan.
