posted on December 03, 2001
fais project

Negotiations have been ongoing in Russia, and the team expects that a contract for a flight will be signed during the second week of December.

After months of intense negotiations by the team and training by Mark, all signs point toward a contract being signed soon. Only details remain to be negotiated, and the majority of the critical points have already been agreed to by both the Russian delegation and the project team.

As soon as the contract is concluded, more specific information will be released - until then, the following should offer an insight into the things Mark will be doing while in orbit:

  • 4 experiments
  • Communication program, details to follow
  • Education program, details to follow
